Description:
This course is designed to give you valuable information, both general and specific, related to the market, the economy and investing in individual stocks. Important economic concepts such as competition, company profit, forms of business ownership, opportunity costs and supply and demand will be applied to the issues of picking stocks, understanding how the market works, and interpreting the market ups and downs. This class will give you hands-on experience with choosing stocks and predicting the impact of the economy on the market. In addition you will become acquainted with the Stock Market Game, an interactive tool for bringing economic and financial basics to your classroom. The SMG is an innovative way to connect real-life activities to your core curriculum.
